Trek to Manaslu

Manaslu Circuit Trek This trek in the Manaslu Region is an up and coming, exciting route that is said to rival the Annapurna Region. It has been rapidly growing in popularity, especially in the last five years and many people have been choosing it instead of the nearby Annapurna Circuit. The Manaslu area lies along the border with Tibet and trails between the two regions are part of an ancient trade route. The Manaslu Circuit is ideal for adventure in the Himalaya. The mountain views and cultural experience along this journey are marvellous and with less of the crowds of busier routes. The spectacular highlight is the 8th highest mountain in the world Manaslu (8156 m /26,758 ft). This snowy, twin-peaked mountain soars above the high elevation valleys and will be an unforgettable sight. Along the trek to the alpine highlands the trail passes by picturesque settlements surrounded by paddy fields and thick jungles. The trail then rises above it all to an open valley with serene villages surrounded by mountain peaks. It is a real experience of getting away from the modern world. This journey passes through the Manaslu Conservation Area and therefore requires more permits than other regions. We take care of all the logistics while you enjoy the experience with splendid scenery and views. The upper valley includes unique landscape that is barren but for the mountains, scattered villages, alpine lakes, glaciers and highland meadows where animals are pastured in the summertime. The highpoint of the Manaslu Circuit is a challenging mountain pass called Larkya La (5160 m / 17,200 ft). From here the route descends through more remote, spectacular scenery to join the lower section of the Annapurna Circuit along the Marsyangdi River. Some trekkers choose to continue trekking along the circuit whereas others end the journey with a pleasant downhill hike to meet a vehicle. The entry and exit points lie off the highway between Kathmandu and Pokhara. We start the journey with a beautiful drive through green hills and fertile farmland. We then begin trekking and the first part of the journey follows along the Buddhi Gandaki River and gradually gains elevation as it climbs to the barren highlands surrounded by mountains. The exhilarating trek is a wonderful chance to get close to the Himalaya with less of the crowds. Join us for the trek of a lifetime in the Manaslu Region. Please Note: Our Manslu Circuit Trek has fixed dates of departure from Kathmandu. We can also arrange this trek to fit your specific desires and schedule. Everest trekking

Trek to Everest Base Camp This is one of the best treks in Nepal and the most popular of the Everest Region. The trek reaches the Base Camp where climbers set up. From here, expedition teams launch attempts on the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest. The trail to this historic location is an unforgettable journey full of breathtaking scenery with mountain views at nearly every step. Everest Base Camp is the closest a trekker can get to Mount Everest without joining a mountaineering expedition that is climbing the mountain. The nearness to Everest and the importance of this special climbing location along with astonishing natural scenery attracts trekkers from all over the world to Everest Base Camp. It is an awe-inspiring, overwhelming experience. From Base Camp the infamous Khumbu Icefall can be viewed up close. This icefall presents mountaineers with their first and most dangerous challenge of the climb to the top. The Everest Base Camp trek offers some of the best mountain scenery in Nepal. Included in the journey is a hike up to Kala Patthar (4250 m, 13,945 ft), an unforgettable viewpoint with a spectacular panorama of Mount Everest and many soaring peaks! At the base of the mountains is a glacial valley which we follow up with the snowy mountains all around us. This Everest Base Camp trek passes through the Sherpa motherland called the Khumbu. The Sherpa are famous for their climbing talents. Along this journey we experience the traditional Sherpa lifestyle and visit majestic Buddhist monasteries near ancient villages. The animals that live in this alpine land include the exotic snow leopard and some people even believe yeti lives in the Khumbu. Our journey to Everest Base Camp begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and its high elevation landing strip. We then follow a timetable designed by experts that provides sufficient time to rest and acclimatize to the increasing elevation. The trail follows from Lukla along the Dudh Kosi River up to Namche Bazaar. Namche is a well-known town considered to be the gateway of the Khumbu region. We have rest and acclimatization days that include hiking to Kunde and Khumjung, charming Sherpa villages. We then continue to Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu. From here, the journey becomes more strenuous as we climb higher into more remote landscape. The scenery is wonderful all the way. Everest Base Camp is the turnaround point of the trek and we take the time to celebrate our accomplishment there and absorb the atmosphere. We have more magnificent views from nearby Kala Patthar. Then we make a pleasant return hike to Namche Bazaar and back down the Dudh Kosi River as we end the trek with a flight to Kathmandu from the mountain village of Lukla. Please Note: We strongly advise all visitors to the Khumbu to include extra days in their international travel schedule to ensure that they have the time to meet international departure times from Nepal. Specifically, flights between Kathmandu and Lukla are often delayed due to unfavorable weather and lack of visibility for landing and take off. Delays sometimes stretch out for several days and longer. We will always do our best to re-schedule upon first flight availability. However, the chance of delayed flights and sometimes even cancellations are possible. Please schedule at least two extra days in your international itinerary to avoid possible conflicts with your departure date from Nepal. In the event of prolonged delays, one option is to arrange a helicopter evacuation for extra fees. Nevertheless, the chances that there are no delays out of Lukla are also likely. In that case, If you have free time in Kathmandu we can arrange for tours and adventure programs. Additional Note: Our Everest Base Camp Trek has fixed dates of departure from Kathmandu. We can also arrange this trek to fit your specific desires and schedule. There are many choices for adventure in the Everest region. If you are interested and have time then let us know and we will design options that combine this journey with other adventures and exciting fun. Leave the details to us and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
